R.O.A.R. Women’s Self Defense Program

Women are physically attacked every day.

This can feel uncontrollable, but there are ways to protect yourself.  Taking a self-defense course can help you find your control, take back your power, and build your confidence.   The ROAR program is taught by women and for women, with the goal of creating a space where every woman can find her inner warrior.

photo1Self-defense training teaches awareness, assertiveness, and verbal confrontation skills, as well as safety strategies and physical defense techniques.  These skills, tools, and strategies can increase your options and help you prepare responses to slow down, de-escalate, or interrupt an attack.

The ROAR Program is not a martial arts program, but a comprehensive course for women in basic hands-on self-defense training. This workshop is designed to provide you with techniques to ROAR:

  • REALIZE your power
  • OBSERVE your surroundings
  • ACT on your instincts
  • REMEMBER your training

The R.O.A.R. Program has been developed photo5maybeby certified Wulin coaches with over half a century of combined martial arts experience and more than 30 years of experience in coaching, teaching, and hands-on application.  Our R.O.A.R. instructors draw from the same self-defense tactics used by professional bodyguards and law enforcement officers.

This course is open to women of all ages and experience. Participants under age 18 must have a release form signed by a parent or guardian.
